Only CL, only the corpus luteum is present in the left or right ovary; CL + MF, medium (5–10 mm) coexistent follicle with corpus luteum; CL + LF, large (> 10 mm) coexistent follicle with corpus luteum.
A total of 28 cows were vaccinated against foot-and-mouth disease three days after the embryo transfer and were therefore excluded from the experiment.
A total of 21 cows belonging to the large follicle and X groups did not undergo embryo transfer.
